Dr Priya Lakshmanan

Dr Priya Lakshmanan is a highly experienced General Adult Psychiatrist with over two decades of dedicated practice in mental health. She began her journey by obtaining her Diplomate in Mental Health, followed by achieving Fellowship status from both the College of Psychiatrists, South Africa, and the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists upon relocating to Australia.

Throughout her career, Dr Lakshmanan has worked across diverse settings, including acute inpatient units and community mental health services, gaining invaluable experience in caring for individuals with varying needs. She is committed to the ongoing education and development of future psychiatrists, providing supervision to psychiatric registrars within the public hospital setting.

Dr Lakshmanan’s expertise extends across a wide spectrum of conditions in general adult psychiatry, including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, and personality disorders. She remains dedicated to delivering compassionate and comprehensive care to her patients while staying abreast of advancements in the field.
