Professional Bio

Dr Arash Danesh is a Consultant Psychiatrist with extensive experience across public and private mental health services in Australia and internationally. His clinical expertise includes adult ADHD assessment and management, alongside a broad range of psychiatric presentations requiring careful evaluation and personalised care.

Throughout his career, Dr Danesh has worked across emergency psychiatry, acute inpatient mental health, community psychiatry, older persons’ mental health, alcohol and other drug services, forensic and correctional psychiatry, consultation-liaison psychiatry, and trauma-related mental health. This diverse background supports a comprehensive approach to assessment, including consideration of conditions that may overlap with or present similarly to ADHD.

Dr Danesh completed advanced training and fellowship experience in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry overseas, developing particular expertise in understanding the connection between physical health, mental health, medications, and psychosocial factors. He applies this perspective when working with patients to develop clear and practical care plans based on their individual circumstances.

He has provided psychiatric care through telehealth services for regional and rural communities across Australia, helping improve access to specialist mental health support for patients who may face barriers to in-person care.

Dr Danesh aims to make the assessment and treatment process clear, respectful, and supportive. He works alongside patients, GPs, and other healthcare professionals to ensure care decisions are informed by each person’s needs, goals, and overall wellbeing.
