Dr Aleem Khan
Consultant Psychiatrist | FRANZCP
Dr Aleem Khan is a Consultant Psychiatrist and Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP). With experience across inpatient and community mental health services in Queensland, New South Wales, Tasmania, and South Australia, he provides evidence-based assessment and treatment for a wide range of mental health conditions. Dr Khan has a special interest in adult ADHD assessment and management, including the varied ways ADHD can present in both women and men.
Professional Bio
Dr Khan’s clinical background spans both acute inpatient settings and community-based psychiatric teams, giving him a broad, practical understanding of mental health care across different stages of a patient’s treatment. His work across multiple states has also shaped a cross-regional perspective on the varied needs of patients, from major cities to regional communities.
His clinical focus includes anxiety, mood and psychotic disorders, alongside a particular interest in adult ADHD, including how its presentation can differ between men and women, an area that is often under-recognised in psychiatric practice.
Alongside his clinical work, Dr Khan mentors junior doctors and medical students and takes a collaborative approach to care, working closely with patients and, where appropriate, their families throughout treatment.
