Dr Asma Batool is a Consultant Psychiatrist with over 15 years of experience in mental health care. Trained and practised across the United Kingdom and Australia, she provides evidence-based, recovery-focused psychiatric care for a wide range of mental health conditions, combining clinical expertise with a compassionate, culturally sensitive approach.
Dr Batool completed her specialist training through the Charing Cross and St. Mary’s program in London, achieving her MRCPsych and Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in General Adult Psychiatry.
She worked extensively as a Consultant Psychiatrist in top-tier London hospitals before relocating to Australia, where she held the roles of Clinical Lead and Deputy Medical Director at a major public hospital.
She specialises in diagnosing and treating a wide spectrum of conditions, including depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, adult ADHD, schizophrenia, psychosis and PTSD. Her expertise extends to advanced therapies including Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT).
With an endorsement in Liaison Psychiatry, she has a particular interest in the Open Dialogue method, an approach that promotes collaborative, recovery-focused care. Dr Batool takes a holistic, patient-centred approach, building personalised treatment plans that emphasise resilience, empowerment and long-term wellbeing. Fluent in English, Urdu, Hindi and Persian (Dari), she brings genuine cultural understanding to her care of patients from diverse backgrounds.
