Dr Kathleen Bokey is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) with a Certificate of Advanced Training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. With over twenty-five years of dedicated experience across both public and private sectors, Dr Bokey has worked extensively with children, adolescents, and young adults, providing specialised psychiatric care tailored to their individual needs and circumstances.

Her expertise lies in the assessment, diagnosis, and management of a range of mental health conditions, including ADHD, major mood disorders, anxiety disorders, eating disorders, and early psychosis. Dr Bokey takes a compassionate and personalised approach, supporting young people and their families through complex emotional and psychological challenges while helping them build resilience and achieve improved wellbeing.

Alongside her clinical work, she is also the author of the therapeutic The Ryan O’Brien series, a collection of books designed to help children navigate emotional loss, trauma, and common challenges faced during childhood, including developing friendships, managing bullying, and embracing individuality.

Dr Bokey has contributed to the field of medical education through her role at Western Sydney Medical School, where she served as Head of Student Wellbeing, supporting students’ mental health and overall wellbeing.
