Dr Esther Bganya

Dr Esther Bganya is a highly respected psychiatrist with over 24 years of experience in the field. She holds an MBChB, MMED (Psych), FRANZCP, FASLM, PGDip (Addiction), and PGDip (Theology), reflecting her extensive and diverse training.

Dr Bganya completed her psychiatry training in South Africa in 1999 and subsequently worked in private practice for four years. In 2004, she moved to New Zealand, where she served as a General Adult Consultant Psychiatrist in both public and private NGO sectors for 16 years. Since relocating to Australia in 2021, she has worked across Queensland and New South Wales in acute care, inpatient, home-based, and community services.

As a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) and the Australasian Society of Lifestyle Medicine (FASLM), Dr Bganya incorporates lifestyle psychiatry into her patient care.
