Dr Babur is a fellow of Royal Australia and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists. His psychiatry training commenced at the Western Sydney network and he later moved to North Sydney network, where he obtained his fellowship with the Royal Australia and New Zealand college of Psychiatrists, (FRANZCP). He subsequently moved to the Perth, WA where he is currently working.
Dr Babur has over 15 years of experience in Psychiatry and he has used Telepsychiatry as a mode of treatment to effectively deliver appropriate services and manage patients successfully.
His extensive training and work experience allows him to render individualized professional care for adults with various mental health disorders and addictions using evidence-based practices. His education and work has exposed him to patients from various ethnic backgrounds and socioeconomic statuses, and consequently, he has a broad cultural overview as it relates to patients with mental health issues.
Just as notable has been his engagement in academic psychiatry, teaching numerous medical students, residents, and nurses and giving presentations and engaging in research.
Dr Babur regularly updates his knowledge base by being a fellow of Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists. This requires him to stay abreast of clinical updates and scientific studies, which ensure patients get the best treatment approved by the scientific community. When appropriate, he collaborates with other professionals to ensure the best care for his patients.
Dr Babur’s interests and expertise include general psychiatric conditions including mood and psychotic disorders, as well as substance use disorders and neuro developmental disorders including ADHD.
